Any way to mark devices / IP addressed so that they dont count towards the 50 IP limi

Hi,
I was wondering if there is any way to mark devices / IP addressed so that they dont count towards the 50 IP limit? I have number of devices do are not Internet facing like printers, htpc, etc that DO NOT internet,

Just don't assign any default gateway on these devices

OK. Also, as a rule, I assign mostly static IP addresses to most of wired devices. Will that cause any issues?

Static with no gateway is fine for devices that don't use the internet. Make sure they're not conflicting with any DHCP pools.
