I installed Sophos UTM software back in 2013, 'didn't have a lot of time to work with it then; I now do have the time to work with it, but am running into problems more than likely that I'm creating.
First, on licensing, WHICH iso do I download ? I downloaded asg-9.306-6.1.iso.
I do still have the original install disks, but was sure there had been upgrades, so I hoped to get the latest software.
I don't remember having any problem with it back then.
However, another thing, is one of the ethernet ports a DHCP server ? I'm using Windows right now, and had to set up the connection manually (state a DNS server/IP address) before I could connect to the UTM box. I also have an old "latest sum" disk, and then the "ASG_V9" disk. Forgot what the first one is.
The other ethernet port is of course connected to a cable modem, no problems there.
'Sorry for the really stupid posts, it's just been a long time since I've worked with this software.
Also, on the download page, if I click on downloads, I'm taken to a screen that asks me to add product credentials. I don't remember that one, maybe I strayed to a wrong page, but I'm asked for Product License Username & then Password.
I can log onto MyUTM licensing with no problem. Am I trying to download a paid product or something ?
