system memory

I just re-installed UTM 9 Home on some newer hardware:
3ghz Core 2 Duo socket lga775
4 gb ddr3 ram
Version 9.305-4
Everything is back up and running but I noticed at the Dashboard --> Resource Usage --> Ram only shows 3.3 gb of memory. The BIOS sees 4 gb of memory.     
Anybody have a reason for this?

    did you install the 64 bit version?  if so then the onboard video is chewing up some ram too.  also this board is allocating ram for the sound card and anything else the motherboard contains.
