having a problem on my sophos home using vm

hello people

well , i have start ti test the new sophos utm as softwear , using vmware workstation

first after the installing it , i login into the webadmin portal

i tried to add policy like blocking youtube , but its not working

please check the attachment pic for my interface setup

my GW IP IS: 192.168.1.1
AND MY WEBADMIN PORTAL IP IS: 192.168.1.2

on my vmware i have add 3 network interface

Any reason your trying to bridge those interfaces?
Start with two interfaces...one as the "internal" interface that the admin would be attached to and one "external" to what would be internet facing on your setup.

Question for you, is this machine you're running the UTM on the same machine you are testing policy on?

One big thing to keep in mind about VMware Workstation is that it does not takeover the interfaces of the host operating system. If you want to protect the host system behind the UTM (using the UTM as the gateway, you need to disable the host's access to the outside interface the UTM is on, and force traffic through the UTM's internal interface.

I think you can just take out IPv4 & IPv6 etc as needed to prevent the OS from using the interface for connectivity. I haven't tried it but It's what I would do to shutdown function but leave the interface up.

Let us know if that works.
