Go with 9.3 if you need the live logs then...do you use Wifi with Seperate zone or SMTP with Profile setup?

Not really a solution for us because SMTP with Profile Setup is necessary in our enviroment.

SOPHOS has to devliver a bugfix !

Okay, but there IS a workaround for that [:)]

After 9.3 installation:

Under SMTP, type in a non-existant (ex. asdasdadx.com) domain in the "Domains" under Routing (Not under SMTP PROFILE) and under Host List, add your mailserver, then 9.3 works perfectly with SMTP, I use this config some places.

Just still let it be in SMTP profile Mode...

But of course there is other issues with 9.3....if you want a stable solution, you need to downgrade to 9.209...at the moment!

Sounds good, but there is no upgrade path from 9.210-20 to 9.3

Anyway - how i can do a downgrade to a stable release?

You need to make a configuration backup from the WebAdmin interface:

Management --> backup/restore

After that, download ISO from there (9.209) :

Hardware device:
ftp://ftp.astaro.com/UTM/v9/hardware_appliance/iso/ssi-9.209-8.1.iso

Burn ISO to CD, attach USB CDROM to Device USB port and turn on appliance, follow the messages on the LCD display.


Software installation:
ftp://ftp.astaro.com/UTM/v9/software_appliance/iso/asg-9.209-8.1.iso

Burn to CD and boot it in server.

(IMPORTANT: All Logfiles and Spooled/Qurantined e-mail will be deleted!!)

After installation, follow initial setup (hostname password, etc. and then chosse to restore from backup, after 30secs. your UTM will be back on 9.209 [;)]

Looks like 9.209 has also some problems with logs.

That thread was because of a corrupted reporting database, not an issue with 9.209 itself [:)]
