UTM 9.3 Released to FTP!

All,

I know you guys have been eager to see this post and I appreciate you patience: We today released the UTM 9.3 to our FTP servers 

That said, the ISOs and Up2Date packages you will find will contain not only our latest fixes but are also in production on many UTMs that were in our staging cycles. Details about the versions can be found on the Sophos Up2Date blog.

    I think you can use following differential packages to upgrade 9.209-8 (and newer 9.210-20 also) to 9.303-2:

    u2d-sys-9.209008-300005.tgz.gpg
    u2d-sys-9.300005-301002.tgz.gpg
    u2d-sys-9.301002-302002.tgz.gpg
    u2d-sys-9.302002-303002.tgz.gpg

    All of them are already present on Astaro FTP server.

    I hope it is sooner than later. This is not the first time where one being one release later than from the upgrade path.

    Why not? Something has changed? In the past I sometimes used upgrade package with source version slighly lower than I was running, if upgrade package with exact source version was not available at the time. No problems with that. AFAIK, the upgrade logic takes care mainly of RPM versions inside the upgrade package.

    Currently I am running 9.210-20, manually uploaded all four mentioned upgrade packages to the UTM and after processing them I was notified about possibility of upgrade, so I assume it will work this time as well.

    if you update then you run in an update failure because you have an incorrect version (see log file)

    You could then delete the 9.209008 via shell and wait for the right package next week - but especially when you have HA you will run into another problem: If you want to switch master / slave the former master will become active again, because of the started up2date process (which of course can't complete) 

    tested this today - which was highly annoying because i ran in the TLS / SSL problem with 9.210 ... i couldn't activate the node with the working SMTP config ...

    Indeed something changed [:(] My log shows the same failure. In June with 9.202-33 it worked: https://www.astaro.org/gateway-products/hardware-installation-up2date-licensing/52634-update-available-9-203-03-a-2.html

    So let's wait for the upgrade package with exact source version.

    If your UTM has already downloaded the 9.3 Up2Dates, but it won't let you apply them because you're now on 9.210, use my version change trick, and try again.
