I got messages from UTM that several updates were ready to be installed. These were:
9.300005
9.302002
9.301002
I was running UTM 9.209-8. I updated to the latest version which brought me to version 9.302-2. Immediately a problem started. I run Netflix from Sony Blu-ray player. I noticed that no movie would play for more than 5 minutes or so. I would get a message from Netflix that there was a trouble playing that title and I should choose another one. If I selected the same title again, it would resume playing but would give the same error after about 5 minutes or so.
If I played the same move from Netflix on my laptop, there was no problem. I started turning off features in UTM and found that if I turn off Web Filtering, the problem is resolved. The moment I turn on Web Filtering, any movie that is playing gets cut off within few minutes.
This never used to happen on 9.2, so something must be different in 9.3. I do not use Web Filtering much, so I can leave it turned off but maybe the wizards at Sophos can take a look at the changes and figure out if some bug got introduced or something else is going on. Maybe it can cause other issues with other users.
