Is there a so-called "15 days Sophos license"?

Hi,

An Sophos UTM reseller/agent has told me that Sophos has a so-called "15 days" firewall license to use which then after that 15 days, I am required to pay him the firewall license fee for Sophos.

Is this true?

Is there actually a so-called 15 days license for Sophos service of any type?

I am a bit hesitated to go ahead with this Sophos reseller/agent until i am certain this Sophos agent is telling me the information that is correct and true.

    Whoever told you that wasn't an authorized sophos partner.  watch your pm's.  Sophos however has a full..unlimited 30 day trial for installation on your own hardware..in some cases a partner might be able to arrange a 30 day trial of an appliance.

    Just to add my comment.

    Sophos authorized partners can generate trial licenses for their clients with validity period of up to 30 days per license (even one day license, or for example 19 day license..[:)]). 

    Check with your reseller what is the reason behind not giving you full 30 days (maybe they are also giving you hardware appliance for trial, so they are in the hurry to release it as soon as possible for another client) ?

    It is a evaluation license.
    The sophos partner can generate every license - Software oder Hardware Appliance License for maximal 30 days.
