Need help with UTM 220 configuration
I am replacing an ASG220 with a UTM220 so I copied the configuration across hoping to just plug and play. From the Astaro I connect to a Cisco 3960 then to a Cisco 2960 switch. All went well except . . .
I had to change eth1 (wan) to point to our new ISP and modified the DHCP service with the required ISP details.
ISSUE:
I can ping/reach the internet when my nic card is set to a static ip and net mask 255.255.255.0 with default gateway of the astaro (10.1.1.254) but if I connect the ETH 0 to my switch and set my nic card setting to “Obtain an IP address automatically” using DHCP I am not able to surf. I do get an IP address. I suspect my issue may be with my net masking setting. Also I now must have “ default gateway” box checked with the ISP’s default gateway in eth 1 (wan) when connected directly to the UTM, to be able to surf. (this works even if I connect through the switch.) This box was not checked in our prior configuration.
I have attached excerpts of the configuration file (hopefully the right sections) in hopes that someone may be able to decipher the problem.
TIA
