v8 Home License with UTM 9?

Hi there,

I installed UTM 9 in a VM for first looks and simple testing but couldn't fully use my old license I got for v8 Beta testing. Is there a special way to upgrade v8 license to an UTM 9 one?

    there should be no need to upgrade the license.

    I thought so but it runs with base funcionality only. All protectable things are disabled. Okay, 2 endpoint av user possible, but not what I want/need.

    In Web Protection, for example, it says

    Licensing Info - This page is disabled as you either do not have a relevant subscription or the relevant subscription has expired!


    Was the v8 lic earned for beta testing not for lifetime? Blöd. So I have to wait til my real one (SG330) arrives...

    1. view the license file and check the expiration date; all licenses expire but Sophos sometimes will renew the 'reward' licenses if you email the licensing address shown in the licensing portal.

    2. try uploading the license again
