Hardware recommendations

I am looking at running the UTM home edition and wanted to get your opinions about the hardware I was considering.
a 2 U server case that takes atx or uatx boards.
An intel haswell 4440S i5 cpu, LGA 1150.
An MSI Z97 atx motherboard.  MSI USA Z97 U3 PLUS
16GB ram.
And a Samsung 840 EVO 250GB SSD.
Want to run all the available options in the UTM home edition.  5-6 devices online simultaneously.  30Mbps roadrunner internet service.
I have read a couple recommendations to stay away from quad core, not sure why yet, still reading other posts.
Thought and recommendations, things I over looked?

    totla overkill..[[:)]]
    use a DC haswell celeron at least 2.5ghz 4 gigs of ram and a 250 gig hdd for starters.  Make sure you are using Intel or broadcom nics..[[:)]]
