Network Architecture

Hello, I would like to install ASG Home Edition and I was wondering where I should install the UTM.

At the moment this is my Setup PC ---> SWITCH (TL-SG3424) --> ROUTER (TL-ER6120) --> MODEM (CABLE) --> INTERNET

Shoud I install the UTM before the Router or After the Router (If I install it after the router, I will have to use the Router DHCP, otherwile, I will have to use the UTM DHCP.

Ditch the TL-ER6120 and replace it with the UTM. What exactly can the TL-ER6120 do that isn't in the UTM?

The ER6120 as some Flood Defense that seem to work better than the ASG one, so that would give me a second layer of security. Also to justify the investment I made one year ago for that router [:)]

Can you put the router acting as "bridge"?
I'm not sure that doing this you'll continue to have the Flood Defense!

With both, you'll need to either put one of them into a bridged configuration or double-NAT. As far as the original question goes, if you do any VPNing, you'd most likely want that device closest to your WAN connection.

Yes, I have System Mode: (NAT) (Non-NAT) (Classic)

and Yes I VPN in. so from what I'm hearing, the setup should be like this :
PC ---> SWITCH (TL-SG3424) --> UTM (with DHCP) --> ROUTER (TL-ER6120 Non-NAT NO DHCP with Bridge --> MODEM (CABLE) --> INTERNET
