Dell Optiplex 990

The OptiPlex 990 only have 1 internal nic. Will a pluggable USB 3.0 gig Ethernet adapter work as the 2nd nic? Thanks Mario

    It depends on the chip within the adapter. Find a model that you like and research it online to find its chipset. Then search online for linux compatibility with that chipset. If it requires a custom kernel or drivers from the vendor then no, it will not work. If it has kernel support in Kernel 3.8+ then it should work fine.
