Very slow restart - disk issue?

Hello,
my ASG restarts very very slowly... it is the second time that it takes 15minutes. Which could be the reason? A disk issue?

Is it safe to perform the tests suggested here for v7? (I am under v8)

could be a disk going bad i would run diagnostics on it.

i actually would pull the drive and use something outside the OS..for me it's spinrite

Hi, the SMARTCTL & BADBLOCKS commands are still relevant and safe.

The online badblocks test is read-only; a offline read-write test using a boot CD such as RIP Linux (or Spinrite) would be more thorough.
