If you are in fact referring to the Intel i210 add-in cards, they do seem to work currently. The Intel i218 LoM solution also appears to work, and I think the new SG series units use i217 interfaces if I remember the hardware screens correctly.
So support was probably added back with the software update for the new SG series units.
I've used the i217 on-board from a Dell server that used the NIC but didn't fully recognize it (and that machine had issues), and dual i210-AT on a Supermicro board and the 9.207 installer didn't find the NICs.
I figured they would have the same drivers as add-in cards, but perhaps I need to re-verify. I've read fairly recent posts on here from others that the i210 isn't supported yet.
On a whim, I tried out 9.209-8.1, and the NICs worked fine without doing anything. The Interfaces->Hardware tab shows them as "Intel Corporation I210 Gigabit Network Connection".
Some of the new SG appliances use i210 series adapters, so yes, in newer builds, they are supported. The only time you may have an issue is if the manufacturer of your particular card/motherboard has put proprietary PCI device IDs in place... then they may or may not work. If you have an issue like this, and have a paid license (which includes Standard or Premium support), contact Sophos Support and they can get the information to the developers.
