i would like to share my experiences with my new hardware for my home-utm.
My old zbox nano id61 (dualcore celeron) has crashed (no bootup possible), so i decided to switch over to a new hardware.
I bought a zotac ZBOX CI320 nano with a quadcore celeron N2930:
- ARK | Intel
- PassMark - Intel Celeron N2930 @ 1.83GHz - Price performance comparison
- Intel VT for h/w-virtualization (proxmox or vmware esxi, hyper-v)
Im running a proxmox 3.3 hypervisor on the h/w-level. The vm's are a 2008 R2 Domain Controller (2GB vRAM, 2vCPUs) and the 9.207 UTM (32bit, 4GB vRAM, 2vCPUs).
There's only one NIC, which i "split" into several subnets via VLAN (setup in proxmox vnics).
With all utm-features i'm running at very low cpu-usage on my 12/1mbit dsl.
Normally you easily can add other machines (Win7/8 as RDP-"Server") and the cpu should handle this very well.
The whole system needs around 15Watt, so I'm very impressed of this fine piece of h/w.
For further questions just ask via p/m or mail, thanks.
Greetings,
Manuel
