Is anyone using the VOIP helper?

I have not had any success in configuring the VOIP helper. I had it working in 9.1. But after upgrading, I had to use NAT rules for SIP and RTVP traffic.

My current set up is like this
SIP server networks: I put my phone trunk IPs.
SIP client networks: I put my PBX IP, also my phone network.

With just this set up, I will sometimes have no ability to connect, or the phone connects, but voice traffic is blocked.

are additional NAT rules needed for SIP or RTVP ports, or does the helper remove the need for separate NAT rules? 
Whats the proper way to configure the firewall for a SIP PBX to an external truck?

    New, is this an issue different from the one in VoIP helper: SIP works, but no RTP...?  Did you try "Client/Server" instead of "Strict?"

    Yes, I have tried all 3 settings (strict, client/server, even Any). If I shut down all NAT rules, and rely just on the VOIP helper, all sip traffic is blocked, phones do not ring I can see the packets getting blocked on the firewall logs.  If I make a NAT rule to allow SIP traffic out so the connection is established, RTP traffic is blocked.
    Sophos said in that post the the VOIP is working as designed, that's why I was wondering if I had it configured wrong, and if anyone else successfully had it working.

    There is also an issue where turning the helper off does not completely turn off the helper and will cause conflicts with NAT rules. There is no log file for the VOIP helper so diagnosing an issue is very difficult.

    Never worked for me. I don't use it anymore because it makes much more trouble then it helps. You better put them in a separate VLAN (what you should do anyway).
