UTM Smart Installer AutoUpdater Error

We purchased the Sophos UTM Smart Installer USB stick so that we can re-install the OS on our hardware UTM product.  

I started the SUSI.exe program that's on the stick to download the latest version and when it first starts up, it tries to Auto Update.  However, this process fails with the following error "Current version is 1.1.5. Checking for update... Fail!  Bad response! Could not retrieve version.".

I've tried taking this stick home and trying it there to see if something was being blocked on our network, but it doesn't work there either.  The program will open if I click on OK and I can download the latest version of the OS.  I would just like it more if I didn't get this error right away, out-of-the-box.

Any ideas?

    The install process is started during the boot sequence.  Depending on the model and revision, the install process can take between 5 and 20 minutes that I've seen.  Hook up a spare monitor to see what's going on.

    Scott you nailed it. Directions state no need for a monitor on hardware UTMs but when I plugged one in the screen said unplug USB Stick and reboot. So it was done, but without a monitor plugged in you have no way of knowing when it's done.

    So to add the final detail to this thread, the USB Stick works perfectly with 0 user intervention required except for removing the USB Stick and hitting reboot but do yourself a favor and plug in a monitor and keyboard in addition to the USB Stick before you power up the UTM and you will know when it's done.

    Finally, once you reboot you can press the power button for a graceful shutdown if you are not yet ready to proceed to WebAdmin for configuration.
