Everyday Massive Up2Date Download

yes each time I restart, I get back up to those download size numbers in a day or two.
My system.
Case: Cooler Master Elite 120 Advanced Mini-ATX
Power: EVGA 500 Watt 80Bronze Plus PSU
CPU:  Core I3 4340 
Motherboard: Gigabyte H81M-H
Network Card: Intel PRO/1000 Pt Dual Port Server Adapter Amazon.com : Intel PRO/1000 Pt Dual Port Server Adapter : Intel Dual Port Nic : Electronics
RAM: 16Gb PC-1600

Generally this is caused by one of two things.

1)  You have a corrupted up2date file on your system, so it keeps re-downloading it over and over again, but can't overwrite because the files have the same name.
2)  Something is interrupting up2date files, so they are re-downloading over and over again.

Check the detailed reports and full logs.

Try this:

cd /var/up2date/sys
ls -l *

If you're in the right directory and there's anything there:

rm *

If you want to kick off the downloads from there:

/sbin/audld.plx --types=sys

Hello together,

I see massive downloads by UTM manager. The UTM manager is downloading 2 to 3 GB per day! I think this isn't a normal behavior.

Trying the commands for this issue on a UTM posted by BAlfson I get the following output:

When running the command as root on the console of UTM manager I see the following:

utmmanager:/home/login > cd /var/up2date/sys
utmmanager:/var/up2date/sys > ls -l
total 0
utmmanager:/var/up2date/sys > /sbin/audld.plx --types=sys
Starting Up2Date Package Downloader
Authenticating ...
Authentication successful!!!
No new packages available, exiting.

I updated to version 4.202-9 about 10 days ago. The massive download started on 15.09.2014. The weekend before I enhanced my single node UTM to HA.

Try this:

cd /var/up2date/sys
ls -l *

If you're in the right directory and there's anything there:

rm *

If you want to kick off the downloads from there:

/sbin/audld.plx --types=sys

Let me see what happens tomorrow...so far I switched from FIOS to COMAST and still getting 5 Gigs a day...the problem now is that COMCAST HAS DATA CAPS and I am eating 5 GIGS a DAY IN JUST UP2DATE...and the COMCAST data cap is 250 a month....so that's at least 150Gigs in just UP2DATE updates....I mean come on!

You have to be logged in as root.  Instead of "*.*" use "*" only.  Any better luck now?

Ok just done it...will wait a day to see what happens.  So far (from yesterday) in the past 9 hours I have a 650mb Up2Date.  So let's see how much download from this point on.

Hi , 

On which platform you are using utm ,(is utm is installed on plain hardware or any other virutaulzation baesd system )

Can you please run when you are login as a root (loginuser+su) and the same same open up2date live log and post any error in code/html wrap  (so page will not get exploed)

1) cd /var/up2date/avira3 or savi  (check which AV you using with Management  >> System Settings >>scan setting )
2) run ls (it should be u2d-***.gpg or tmp ) file delete it with rm u2d-* 
3) then just run audld.plx && auisys.plx 

and check the live log of up2date live log  and check up2datelog for any erros 

i am also faceing some  problem after update to latest version but i dont have this kind of problem

PLAN B: You can download firmware update from ftp site and update manully 

ftp://ftp.astaro.de/UTM/v9/up2date/  --if you reaily want to upgrde a firmware 

PLAB C: Take a backup of your current setup and installed new from latest_iso and restore backup 

again ,i don't know you are home user or commerial user (if you are commerial user open support ticket) 
if you are home user you can take a risk  ( ??) at your own 

the reason i give you 1st option to understand the problem
