Hey all,
I had Sophos UTM running on a dedicated PC, but because I wanted to do more, I bought a stronger PC with the idea to run Sophos UTM in a VM using VirtualBox,
Current network setup:
NIC 1: bridged to IntelI217-V - External Network Card, connected to 192.168.2.0/24, an unchangeable network.
the other NIC is bridged to an Intel PRO/1000GT NIC(This worked on the bare-metal install), as internal network. it is connected via cable to an OpenWRT router, which worked like it should on the bare-metal install, and nothing is changed here.
If I configure the internal NIC as Ethernet Static, everything works
If I configure the internal NIC as Ethernet VLAN with VLAN tags 3&4, nothing works. indicator for this is the DHCP not giving any addresses, interfaces unpingable(although Sophos UTM is set to allow ping).
does anyone know what's happening here?
DHCP log is empty
firewall log has no entries related to DHCP,
all other modules disabled,
win firewall on the host is disabled
Firmware version: 9.201-25 - 4 updates available
edit: reflashed openwrt to rule out any errors there.
still no DHCP on the internal LAN..
