Sophos UTM on Netgate APU4

Hi. I'm looking for nice hardware to run Sophos UTM Home and came into this.

Netgate APU4 Network Firewall Router Appliance

Do you think it is possible to install Sophos UTM Home on this?

Are you certain? These units are based on the PC-Engines APU board:
PC Engines apu1c4 product file

It supports an internal (optional) mSATA SSD, shouldn't that be sufficient storage?

Hi,
I can see a couple of likely issues.
1/. CPU will run very high usage and as a result get very hot
2/. the nics are all Realtek which are not good performers
3/. you haven't said what you internet connection speed is which will affect the performance of the unit.

I was looking at the pre-canned options available in the link provided. You'll need a minimum 40GB storage.

I think this Mushkin 120GB mSATA drive would do nicely. Adding this bumps up the cost a bit but still not too bad, and is only pennies more than the Intel 525 unit that Netgate offers. According to the spec sheet I found here, it seems that the size and voltage etc would be compatible. Have not tested though.
