Licence installation problem

Hello and welcome.

I've encountered weird problem the last night.
My home appliance was about to be updated to 9.201-25 and then to 9.203-3. Update rendered the device unresponsive, I've found that the disk was failing. Doesn't matter.
Anyway, I replaced the drive, downloaded fresh ISO (says it's 9.201-25), did a fresh install on a new drive, etc.
The problem is I am not able to install my licence. I thought it was something to do with the licence itself (like non-english letters in my name) so I invalidated the licence and generated new one. The problem persists.
Each time I want to apply the uploaded licence I see the folloring error:

Unexpected error in set: Not a HASH reference at /utils.pm line 295. 

I ended up with reinstalling the software twice with the same effect. The browser doesn't make any difference. What should I do? I've got like 29 days left [:)]

    Is there a reason you don't just restore from backup?  The license file is in there.

    I've tries, yes. Backups are from version 9.11-something, and their restoration failed - unit became unresponsible. It was booting itself, local console was OK (i.e. login prompt etc) but no connectivity (nmap, ping, webadnim failed). I know it sounds weird but I spent over 2 hours trying to get any type of response over the wire.
    To be more speciffic - unit became unresponsive after post upgrade rebooting.
    As there was little to do to configure - around 10 rules total - after several failed restoration attempts I've decided to do a fresh config.
    Yes, I've tried to restore the backup via USB with the same result.
    Anyway - now I'm talking about totally fresh installation.
