1U i3-UTM

My home UTM (Atom) is finally starting to show that it can not handle my family traffic and I am starting to see a slowness on my link 25+/7+ comcast link. Everything is running except for RED, WIFI, DLP.

I have a mini rack setup for my UTM and other devices, so I like 1U cases for their stack-ability and mounting. At Newegg here is what I have come up with the following for current and future growth.

What has me concerned is if the CPU and cooler will fit in this case. I think the processor with my intel NIC mounted in there should work. Looking for feedback.

    Hi Matt,

    I have a Gen8 HP... 
    1. it's not rackmount
    2. the CPU is slower than the i3 (but still good enough for 25mbps+)

    Sorry you are correct, it is not rack mountable/1 RU 

    The CPU is still more than suitable, but it can also be upgraded to an i3 or even a xeon. However, for home use the Gen 8 Micro server will be your best all round box to put this on, If your game you could even visualize it on there.
