I just bought a 10 user licence (due to management short sightedness we are not using it anymore) for my company using our own hardware for around $500AU. Can't remember exactly, but I think it was a full guard licence. Similarly you could use Sophos hardware, those cost I am not aware of.

If you are thinking about a business license -- depending on what your needs are, a UTM100 license, or Basic Guard license, may fit the bill (and comes with supported hardware) ... or a 10 user software license (they are not expensive). I'd recommend you find a reseller with experience supporting / selling the platform for some pricing and recommendations. You can find one via Sophos' website if you're looking for one geographically near you (not a bad idea if you want someone local). There are also some good guys on this board as well (my company is a reseller, and there's Bob, etc. as well).
Thanks, though it's a pity that self-employed people usually use their home environment as work place - only 1/2 computers are really for business. It's a mixed environment, and other devices are not intended for business usage.
Off course I can get a separete internet connection and two networks, but that will add another monthly cost - without speaking of the speed. (Current connection is fiber - I only have slower alternatives when adding another connection)
