Hardware sizing - time to upgrade from 325

We are a public school with 130 staff and 600-700 students. We have a building-wide wireless network that we allow students and staff to connect personal devices to.

We use transparent web proxy/filtering, with IDS disabled for performance reasons.

We have two WAN connections - a 50/10 Mbps, and a 20/20 Mbps, with uplink balancing enabled.

Our hardware usage graphs show CPU usage in the 30-40% range during peak hours.

We are using the latest revision UTM 325.

Should we be considering the 425? Performance has been pretty good, but I wonder if we are beginning to approach the limits.

    The mid-range appliance line has changed; talk to your reseller, I'd be looking at one of the new 400 series appliances.

    At your cpu usage levels i would not be concerned yet.  You aren't peaking higher than 50%.  If you have a reseller get in touch..of not there's several(including myself) would be happy to advise you.
