SSG line of hardware appliances

Hi Sophos,

You have released a new patch a few days a go for our UTM's. The patch only states that it "Adds support for new SSG line of hardware appliances".

Where are the details of these devices, we looking to purchase a device for our organisation and I have known for sometime Sophos are releasing new appliances. However, where can we learn or look at the specs of these new devices?

We are excited to purchase a new device, but don't want to be caught out with an old previous model.

    I'm glad to see your philosophy about swapping says swapping should be a rare thing...it's been previously stated that swap equals more memory to be used..[[[:)]]]  Now that a proper amount of ram is in these machines I can concur only if they are overloaded or if there is some kind of bug should there be any significant swapping.  


    We'll see about SSd's..right now they don't have a track record of all around reliability for me at least.  I personally wouldn't deploy them in this scenario no matter what lab results get..[[[:)]]]  They have their place in some scenarios yes..we'll see how they hold up in this one..[[[:)]]]

    I'd never consider anything less than Prosumer grade unless you don't mind it being potentially disposable.  And we won't talk OCZ's track record.
