Running UTM 9.109-1 on Athlon64 3800+ w/ 3GB RAM. Ran great until a couple months ago--hardly taxed CPU or RAM. Normal CPU usage is 3%-10%.
Starting a few months ago, most (but not all) nights CPU will suddenly peak at 100%, and stay there for 20-40 minutes, then return to normal. Happens roughly 24 hours apart. I recently rebooted during the day, now the problem has shifted to about 2:30pm.
Looking at other similar posts, I disabled all reporting, but still happened. Updates are set for every 4 hours, so doesn't seem related to up2date. Auto backups are weekly, so also appears unrelated. Log partition at 35GB, 32GB free, filling at 3MB/day, so doesn't seem logs are growing excessively. Network traffic and web/email protection stats don't seem to correlate with CPU spikes either.
Ideas?
