High Availability - Hot Standby vs. Cluster

Folks,

I'm testing a new build with an ESXi Server running two UTM 9 Nodes. Currently I have it configured in Hot Standby mode and I'm curious if the behavior I'm seeing is accurate. If I were to perform an Up2Date, upon Slave Node completion, should I expect some downtime?

That being said, and if that is expected, does a Cluster scenario ensure 100% uptime?

    Based on some additional testing, it seems as though the only downtime I'm experiencing is on the Wireless Access Points. I have a few AP10's with one AP50 and they seem to disconnect momentarily when the Master and Slave nodes are swapping. Anything wired doesn't seem to have the same impact; maybe a ping or two, however, something streaming like Netflix seems to have enough of a buffer to not really cause an issue.

    Is this expected behavior to have AP's disconnect for a minute or two?
