Upgrade from release 8

Hi,

My dashboard on release 8.311 does not mention any update.
If i go to the Up2Date section, the message is Your firmware is up to 
date so i would pleased to benefit of the Up2Date to release 9.

Is there one ?

    Hi, unless you have a Sophos/Astaro hardware appliance, the path to v9 is backup, re-install from the 9.1 ISO, and restore your backup.

    Thanks you Barry. Long time ago, the update for Sophos/Astaro hardware appliance were made and that an update will be available for the others, no delivery date, will take some time as it were not planned in the short future but it were still planned. 

    This has been canceled ?

    Hi, afaik, there's never been an update between major versions for non-appliances.

    Astaro staff have stated that it's certainly possible, but that the odds of something going wrong (such as NIC reordering, etc.) are too high for it to be worthwhile to release it.

    Hint: It's possible to copy the correct downloaded U2D for 8.311 to 9.004 from a suitable appliance and apply it to a non-appliance [:)]

    Downloaded but not yet applied U2D reside at '/var/up2date/sys'.

    Technically, there is no good reason why we don't provide U2D from v8 to v9 for non-appliances. NIC order is not an issue in this case - in fact, a reinstall could trigger this issue!

    Hi,
    That would be helpful if we knew where to find the appliance up2date files online (FTP or SFTP/SCP), as those files don't appear to be on the regular FTP site (I looked in ftp://ftp.astaro.com/ASG/v8/ and ftp://ftp.astaro.com/UTM/v9/).

    Copying from an appliance isn't handy if we don't have a v8 appliance around.

    My astaro still works well except i can't access the webadmin anymore.
    Here what i have : " Internal Server Error  The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.  Please contact the server administrator, admin and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.  More information about this error may be available in the server error log.  Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

    Is there either : 
    - a way to resolve the problem ?
    - another way to backup settings ?
