Questions regarding replacing ASG220 with UTM320

I have been running an ASG220 for some time but just purchased a new UTM320 to upgrade it with. I am on version 8 on the 220 but understand that I can still restore the version 8 backup to the 320 which is on version 9. I have several questions though:

Can I change the host name or will this invalidate my certificate(s) and mess up all of my SSL VPN and IPSec site-to-site connections?

Does migrating to a new appliance mess up my certificates due to hardware changes (MAC address, etc)?

Anything else I need to consider/be aware of for the upgrade?

    Hi,

    a. I would think it would still be OK as long as a DNS entry still exists with the old host name, so the remote VPNs can still find the UTM.
    However, I'm not certain.
    You should be able to change the hostname back if it doesn't work.

    b. at least some of the certificates are created during installation; I don't know if the backup file restores all of them or not.
