Management port.

I have installed Sophos version 9 to my server and it works with no problem but I have a silly question.

The port I choose to manage Sophos is it the same port I use for LAN or should I use another port for that?

Safety is probably better with different ports but it becomes a pain to update and check logs.

    Hi, and welcome to the User BB!

    My personal rule is to always have at least one "Standard Ethernet" interface so that the UTM can be managed even if the VLAN switch dies.  Also, 'Allowed networks' for WebAdmin and Shell Access is limited to DNS Groups for Sophos Support, my company's IPs and the client's IPs.  I also add the "balfson (User Network)" object so that I can VPN in from anywhere.
