Sophos UTM and VMWare Fusion

I'd like to be able to monitor what my kids are doing on the Internet.  I have an existing firewall router that I would like to continue using.

Can I install Sophos UTM on VMWare Fusion on my Mac and have it provide me this information?  

I'm a little confused as to how to get started.  I downloaded the Virtual Appliance, but I cannot connect to the admin interface.  I'm guessing this is because my router is assigning internal IPs using the patter 192.168.1.x and the UTM appliance is configured at 192.168.0.x.  

I also downloaded the software ISO, but found this equally challenging.  I'm really not sure where to get started.  

I'd really like to understand this product and use it, but could use some help getting started.  Thanks in advance!

    Hi, rajb, and welcome to the User BB!

    Your idea is only useable if your Mac is a desktop and you leave it on permanently.  Even then, unless you have two NICs in your Mac and you turn your wireless router into a wireless access point behind the Mac, your kids will soon learn how to get around your setup.
