If that doesn't help, do you have another R210 you can try?
I assume you already updated the firmware.
Assuming SATA, is the controller in AHCI mode? You could try switching the mode to legacy, but that probably won't help if the system or BIOS is less than a few years old, and you might have to re-install.

Firmware and BIOS are up to date. Haven't changed out the drive cable yet. The drive is running in AHCI mode.
It's under warranty from Dell, but since their diagnostics ran fine, they don't think it's them.
This is the only R210 II we have access too. Bangkok Bob's comment about running a few of them without issues is good to know. If others are also running the same model, that would be important for us and Dell to know too.
