Problem with USB NIC

I am trying to set up a UTM on a system that only has one built in NIC. The system installs fine and works until I enable the USB NIC. The system identifies the USB device just fine, but as soon as I enable it, the system locks up hard. 

I am running 9.106-17 software and a Cisco-Linksys USB-300M adapter. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hi, can you run 'tail -f' on the logs and see if any errors are logged?

    Note that there have been no reports here of USB NICs working with reasonable performance; if you get it working, please let us know.
