Install in VMWare

So
Decided to try to install Sophos UTM as a virtual machine, but what kind of settings should I use in vmware? The main point is which os should I optimize the VM for? Should i use "Other Linux 2.6.x kernel 64-bit" or would other options be more suitable?

    Second Barry's suggestion regarding VMXNET3 drivers.

    As far as the Guest OS choice, it doesn't really matter whether you choose SUSE or Linux. The main purpose of the OS selection is to setup sane defaults for everything so if your chosen OS doesn't support certain hardware (SATA in Win98 for example) it doesn't get chosen. It's also used as part of their "Easy Install" setup which will step through certain GUI installers on your behalf (XP being a good example).
