Shuttle DS47 for UTM appliance?

I'm considering buying a Shuttle DS47 to run the UTM software. I have a 80/20mbs vdsl/fftc connection. I'd like to run ids, av, logging, vpn, the whole works if possible.

The DS46 has the following specs :
CPU Family Intel Celeron (Dual Core)
Processor Number 847
CPU Speed 1.1 GHz
Network Card Dual Realtek 8111G
Network Card Data Link Protocol Ethernet
Network Card Speeds 10/100/1000 Mbps
Wireless Network Yes
Wireless LAN IEEE 802.11b/g/n

I've done some searching, looks like nobody has posted about this pc.

Will the UTM work with the nics ?
How much RAM should I buy ?
Approximately what sort of performance can I expect ?

Thanks for the suggestions and info. Appears that the minimum CPU I should be considering is a dual core celeron @ 2.2Ghz with nics that supports offloading. I'll probably go for a low power i3 @ 2.8 as suggested by Ian to give me some leeway.

Are there any compelling reasons to go for quad core?

I'm surprised @ the horsepower required for the bells and whistles.
