Upgrade from Astaro 220 to UTM 220 9

Hello

We have a current running Astaro 220 version 8.311 (physical) that we planning on retiring as we have purchased a Sophos UTM 220 version 9 (physical).

We want to transition the current configuration on the Astaro 220 to the new UTM 220, basically run the same config except on the new unit.

Is there a procedure for accomplishing this task?  I have heard you can make a config backup file on a usb stick and boot the new UTM device to it and will load the config. I cannot find any resources or documentation on this though.

Any help provided is greatly appreciated.

    Yes exactly. Just format the stick as FAT and name the file 'restore.abf'. Plugin the stick before boot and it will import the config.

    Make sure you use an unencrypted backup file (no password set when downloading from ASG)!
