Sophos NEWB - Hyper-V Installation Not Seeing Internet

After some frustration with attempting to virtualize Unangle I found Sophos UTM. So far I am very impressed and I have yet to get it completely setup.

My configuration:

Sophos virtualized in Hyper-V Server 2008
2GB RAM
40GB VHD
3 Virtual NICs, each with its own Intel NIC on the outside. (all tested OK)

Everything installs and configures as advertised. Watched a YouTube video or three and setup Masquerade Rule & Packet Filter Rule. External NIC - Static. Internal NIC - No DHCP Server (SBS 2011)

OK, so why cannot I see the internet? Have tested from workstations using SBS DNS as well as External DNS. Have tried from inside UTM using internal tools.

I am missing something and beating my head on my desk only make configuration more difficult.

    Depending on your ISP you might either need to power cycle the modem or call them to break the lease.

    Seems William has an idea of what the problem is, so hopefully he can help you out.

    Otherwise, here's a short list for a Basic setup:
    1. Interface configuration, ensure External Interface has assigned Default Gateway
    2. NAT MASQ rule (Internal network -> External Interface)
    3. Firewall rule: Internal (Network) -> Internet or "ANY"
    4. Since you are not using the DNS or DHCP functions of the UTM ensure that your DHCP server is assigning the new IP address of the Internal interface of theUTM to your internal network computers.
    5. Configure DNS forwarders even if not using so the UTM can do lookups.

    I didn't find much on the official knowledge base for basic setup but here are some official sophos videos, Sophos UTM YouTube videos
