Upgrade Path from 9.005-16 to 9.105 GA?

Hi

by now, our production UTM-HA-Cluser runs on 9.005-16 (quite fine) but we planned an update to latst 9.105 GA which was rlsed yesterday.

For today our Cluster only shows the upgrades 9.006-5 and 9.007-5 but no 9.1x update.
Is this not possible or do i need to upload something by myself, or do i need to update to latest 9.007-5 first before i can upgrade to 9.105?

    Hi .

    9.1x is a total new release not an upgrade.
    As far as I know there is no upgrade from 9.0x to 9.1x.
    In new releases like from 8.x to 9.x there was a upgrade button for that , but as far as I know there is not such an ability ( at least yet ).
    So you will need to take a backup and reinstall your cluster from ISO or smart installer with this backup .

    9.1x is an update, not a total new release!

    Hi ,

    I just asked the support for you about the upgrade and they told there is no problem to upgrade from 9.0x to 9.1x .
    Upgrade to 9.007 and few hours after you will see the update from 9.007 to 9.1 , so you will be able to upgrade.
    It is for all kind of installs , appliances ans software.
    There was an portion from 9.006 to 9.100 but was removed .
    just be patient , it is about 300Mb and pushing to all the installs that are on 9.007 already.

    Its about 300Mb so it will take time to download after you install 9.007.

    I was too fast obviously....

    right now our Cluster got all further updates up to latest 9.105GA (see attached image)

    so my part is just to to a config backup and hit the "Update to latest version" button (with spare slave) and if everything works doing the upgrade there too, right?

    Hi ,

    Taking a backup is a good thing to do.
    You can of course separate the nodes , but there need to be no problem just to hit "upgrade to latest version" without separate them.
    The upgrade will take time , its a long way and big updates.
    If you won't separate the nodes it will start all the updates on the slaves and only when finishing them it will switch the nodes and upgrade the master.

    Great, that sounds good. i estimated about an hour and a half for the upgrade. should be fine, right?

    Let it take as much as it takes.
    It will do each node at a time.
    You don't have down time because you have a cluster.
