UTM Home Edition Laptop NIC's

I have an Vostro V131 that I will be installing the UTM Home Edition on. The issue with this is I only have 1 NIC. I was looking into purchasing a USB>NIC. I cannot find a compatibility list. Has anyone ever successfully completed this. I would used the native NIC for the untrust connection and the USB for my trusted network. I am migrating from a Cisco ASA 5505

    Hi,

    There is very limited support for some USB nics in v9.1 and what reports have come in suggest the performance is poor. To be honest you would be far better off building a small Atom or i3 based board with a couple of supported NIC's (Intel or Broadcom are best) and working from that. Mini-ITX based systems can be built for under $400 and the i3 based ones should handle almost any consumer level connection you can throw at them, even the 100Mbps+ FiOS type stuff.
