Will custom shell scripts void support?

Hi I'm very concerned about not voiding warranties or support licensing. We have multiple IPSec VPNs on our astaro v8 220 UTM which we monitor VPN connectivity uptimes with Nagios.
I'd love to be able use Nagios event handling to restart a failed VPN but from what I see in the forums I will have to configure sudo access to run a script or two to restart StrongSwan tunnels.
will this void any warranties or support?

Thanks in advance!

  • You should submit a support request with your script and a question about whether it would need to be replaced after Up2Dates or only when updating to the next major version.  They can confirm that you wouldn't be breaking the warranty - although I agree with gilipeled.
