Just noticed on the dashboard....

In the version section of my dashboard it says:

Firmware version: 9.102-8
Pattern version: 47671
Last check: never


I had the Up2Date pattern email notifications turned off, (which I have just turned back on) so I am not sure if it is checking for updates or not.

    The notification option shouldn't affect the selection on the 'Configuration' tab of 'Management >> Up2Date'.  What do you see there?

    Hi Bob!
    I have it set for: Firmware every hour and Patterns every 15 minutes.

    Since I have not gotten an email notice that any pattern updates have been installed (since I turned them on yesterday and I usually get at least 2 or 3 a day in the past). I am going to change the pattern updates to manual and see what it says.

    Ok did a little more digging.

    When I changed the Up2Date to manual is got this:

    Current pattern version: 47671
    Latest available pattern version: 47672


    So I changed it back to every 15 minutes, and 15 minutes later still no update:

    Firmware version: 9.102-8
    Pattern version: 47671
    Last check: never


    So I checked my live log which shows this:

    Which leaves be to believe somthing is wrong, so I go thru past executive reports and see that the last Up2Dates were installed on 7/5

    So I went to the Up2Date log for 7/5/2013 and it shows that the last check completed 2140 on 7/5 and then shows an error.

    I figure I will do a manual up2date to pattern 47672 and change it back every 15 minutes and see if that corrects the problem.
    If not, I will then reboot the machine and see if that kick starts the updates again.

    Update:
    1) Tried to initialize a manual update to no avail. Logs still showed another process was running.
    2) Rebooted the machine and manually initiated an up2date.

    Well that did the trick the Up2Date page showed:
    Current pattern version: 47671
    Latest available pattern version: 48231

    And the updates were getting downloaded and installed.

    It looks to me that maybe this was the issue that cause up2date to stop working:
