9.102 update killed my firewall > Office!

After applying this update my firewall won't come up again (Fresh and fancy System). 
First time since about 2006! Fatal Fail > Sophos....or I do not think so, it is a hw. issue...will see.

Please double check this version - regarding for others. Personally I'm on my way in this office!! F***

    Upgraded over the weekend.. took several hours but both my 220s came back ok.. (active\passive)

    Likely failed due to some other reason; probably a bad hard disk, etc. that was triggered by the update.

    The issue is still not 100% clear. After applying this update my fw. was unable to boot. The system hangs at the grub part. Several tries, same issue. So, I just reinstalled /with the astaro backup conf/ on the same disk because there was no other disk available and the whole office was down. It worked but with strange modprobe errors. The box is still up and running but I avoid to update to the most recent version. This Friday i will reinstall on a new disk....will see.

    Just to let ya know; I re updated with the same issue > grub hang again!
    So, i decided to reinstall on a new disk and updated to the latest update and it worked fine.....Before i used an ssd (is it possible that the latest update has something changed regarding to ssd - eg. kernel- trim, etc.) Or is it possible to waste a ssd in 3 months? Anyway, now I'm back on sata ;-)

    Well... For as I know, you are not the first one here on the Astaro/Sophos board to kill a SSD within 3 months. SSD's can't cope with the enormous read-write IOP in full continuos mode and will crash very fast.
    To me it looks like you are using a "cheap" consumer SSD in your system and not a 24/7 functional guaranteed high-end SSD. The 24/7 SSD's cost a bit more.

    It also has to do with size of the ssd.  The smaller the ssd capacity the quicker it dies..it has to do with having free space to wear level data around the limited life cycle of each nand cell.

    I would suggest reading the SSD's status with a SMART tool.
