An Atom board using 8Gb RAM and Dual Nics from Supermicro

I was chatting with an Intel rep, and he pointed out this board and CPU.  I didn't know that an Atom and board existed that will take 8Gb of RAM.  Has anyone tried this board out?  Might be a reasonable choice for some (home?) users for a small low power box.  Supermicro says they came out with it in December.

It's a Supermicro X9SBAA-F - Atom CPU, 8Gb RAM, dual Gb Ethernet ports, 2 USB 3.0 ports

Here's a link to the board on Supermicro's website.

  • Hi,
I have built a number of low power UTMs, but always run into the same issue, the powersupplies are very inefficient and waste more power than the CPU. I have had to go to bigger cases with better powersupplies.
