I'm having a strange problem and a friend of mine with a similar setup is experiencing the same issue. I have Astaro setup in a VM (I used the latest .OVA file) on an ESXi 5.1 host. Everything is running great except when I reboot (planned or unplanned). When Astaro boots, everything appears to load fine, but when it finishes I no longer get the message you are typically given telling you the management network is running and the IP to access it from. As a result, I can't log-in to the management network via LAN as it isn't assigning the NIC to the LAN interface. It seems to still load the WAN interface fine (passed-through Intel NIC), so I am able to log-in to the management network via WAN. From there I can re-assign the LAN interface to the hardware (in my case the LAN device is an Intel E1000 virtual NIC) and everything starts running properly again. Has anyone had an issue like this or have any idea why it may be happening? I've always loved Astaro, but this issue is making it too unreliable to keep using as a router. Thanks in advance for any help!
