v8.310 Up2Date?

Hi All,

any Info´s on that? (from http://download.astaro.de/ASG/v8/up2date/):

is that a normal "Soft Release"?

I did not see one of those ususal "Sticky" Soft Release Threads...

    Hi ,

    Definitely it shouldn't be like that.
    I would check the AV scanning too.
    If IPS is on I would also disable it and check.
    Still I think 1Gb maybe will be enough with 8.x but will die in 9.1x from my experience .

    Thanks for looking at the TOP-code (tnx Bob for formatting it correctly [:)]

    Yes, I use 2 older (year 2008) ASG220 in active-passive with 1GB RAM
    (can't upgrade to more unfortunately, so V9.xx is not an option).

    Users:
    "only" about 35 users, external EMail-host, external WEB-host.
    So just a lot of http-traffic from development, sales and service.

    Rebooting:
    in hard moments I cold-started the devices, and after 5min everything was ok again. If I don't react to the "httpproxy-not-running"-problem the appliance helps itself after approx. 10min.
    But I will try again to reboot Slave before Master.

    Check/uncheck:
    I saw the CPU and MEM values are getting higher, so i already did some tests with disabling AV, WEB, IPS to the minimum (it is the only gateway in a productive environment...!). No changes, still 4 to 5 breakdowns a day, almost ever 4 to 6h (but not closer than 3h between two breaks!).

    Top:
    when i run TOP, httpproxy-values are shown between nothing and 100%, but never for a long time up on 100%. no value stays long on 100% showing that something is realy "hanging".
    Can i tell TOP to write the data continously into a file?

    Other idea:  
    can I rollback to FW8.309 or 8.308? I didn't have that problem before and I didn't change anything (big) on the ASG since then.
    (btw: how do I do a rollback?)


    This is a strange and boring error!
    Maybe it's because, the ASG220 heard, that we will exchange them in Summer 2014 with newer ones (new IT-Project is running, but can't change it until 07/2014 so until then I realy need a working unit).
