Install Astaro on disk with less than 16GB

Hello, 

is it possible to install the Astaro UTM on a whitebox with less than 16GB storage space?
I have a small server with a 4GB flash card. (ClearOS and Endian Firewall run fine with less than 4GB)
Now I'd like to install the Astaro UTM on that flash card. But when trying to install the UTM on a disk with less than 16GB there's an error saying there's not enough storage space available.

Is it somehow possible to install the appliance anyway? I do not want to use proxy caching, just firewall, content and virus filtering. 
My tests show that only about 3GB are used on the disk where the astaro UTM is installed.

    Hi,
    If you're really determined, you could install on an HD, shrink the partitions, and clone it to the flash card.

    However, the UTM does a LOT of disk writes, and will quickly wear out your flash card.

    My 9.0 home firewall is using about 10GB:

    > df -h

    So there's no native way for installing on a drive smaller than 16GB? Maybe a switch in the installer?

    Maybe I'll take a 16GB SSD then. I don't want a HDD because of the noise and energy consumption.

    Noise?  Maybe at 7.2k or higher.  4500 hdds are silent only draw maybe 2 watts and dont wear out under usage.  16 gb ssd is going to have little if any spare flash for wear leveling.   Save yourself the money and the downtime and use a small hdd...

    None that I know of.

    I'm running a laptop drive at home (5200 or 5400 RPM), and it is completely inaudible from more than a couple feet away.

    If you're going to get an SSD, get a 64GB; a 32GB might be too small in the near future.

    if you are going ssd you need 128 gb or higher.  smaller ssd's don't have more than 5% spare flash which severely reduces wear leveling abilities...make sure if you do put an ssd in check that spare flash is 10% or higher..otherwise your ssh will not survive long.

    I have a spare 20GB 2.5" 5.400rpm HDD around. I'll give it a shot. 

    I know that the bigger a SSD the better, because of wear levelling, internal RAID, speed and so on.
