CPU @ 99% after 9.101-12

I'm currently running at 99% CPU usage and 78% memory usage after the upgrade.   I've selected single scan and am using Avira as the engine.   I've rebooted the ASG 220 since and it is good for a while but starts spiking back to 99%.  

What other settings do I need to change or do I need to go back a version?

    can you read through that topic, and report back?
    For some people, it's necessary to reboot the unit.  Did that help?
    Before it starts to peak, login at the command line and run top.  What's causing this?

    and did you reboot before or after changing the scanning enging?

    There is a known issue in 9.101 that can cause the HTTP Proxy to consume 100% CPU -- if you run 'top' from the console and find that the httpproxy process is to blame, contact support, they have a patch for the issue.

    We had the same problem.
    After we updated the second machine in our HA-acitive/passive-Cluster, the master ASG120 run more then a few hours at 100% (the single-scan-av is avira).
    We don't know why. We switch the Master in our HA and restart the machine. After a few days the ASG is normal and we chance back to this, because the other machine swaps more the the second.
    All two ASG 120 are the same version with the same ram inside, but there are different in use.

    At one client site, I conftinued to see the CPU problem after shifting the Single-Scan to Avira.  I discovered that one of the Filters used in one of the Profiles had been set to Dual Scan.  I changed it to Single and the problem disappeared.

    PSK, if you're running V9 on units with only 1GB of RAM, please post the weekly pictures of CPU and Memory usage along with the 'Currrent system configuration' section of the Dashboard.

    I've downloaded the sophos patch ep-httpproxy from the recommendations on another thread.  How do I install that rpm on my ASG 220 box?

    Hi Jurgy

    As the patch fixes an issue not related to Av engine (as per info from Dominic - the issue you are facing *might* be a different one) please contact support to get confirmation before installing the rpm. the URL was provided as a FYI  that  Sophos is tracking this bug internally (  CPU @ 100%proxy issue bug)
