Cpu spiking @ 100%

I just updated to Firmware version: 9.101-12

Now my cpu wont stop spiking. Checked the logs and noticing the following:

CPU0: Core temperature above threshold, cpu clock throttled (total events = 285382)

Was not having this issue before I updated the firmware today

    I am also noticing this behaviour as well during work hours.  I did not have this issue before the firmware update.

    For some people, it's necessary to reboot the unit.  Did that help?

    Before it starts to peak, login at the command line and run top.  What's causing this?

    I rebooted the firewall several times and now the cpu seems to be ok but the memory appears to be spiking now....!!!!!!!

    Same issue on an UTM 120 Cluster, since friday.

    In another thread, I reported that there's a memory-leak issue when using the Sophos AV engine - it will be fixed in 9.102.  At present, select Single-Scan in Web Filtering and Profiles, and then the "Avira" engine in 'Management >> System Settings 'Scan Settings'.

    Yes, are you meaning this - ID26192 

    Single-Scan is active, but... yes I haven't changed it to the Avira Engine!
    I will observe this issue the next days and give you a feedback.

    We are having the same issue on our UTM 220. We do not have Web Protection and Sophos is the only available scan engine.

    In fact, you do have Avira, and can select it as indicated in post #6 above.

    Hey guys, I've switched to the Avira engine and I'm still receiving high memory utilization that I wasn't receiving until I took the software update.

    Anything else I can try?

    check your filtering profiles if they are on dual or single engine.
