Hardware Questions - SSD Drive, RAM

Does Sophos UTM install properly on and work properly on SSD hard drives?

What has been your Sophos UTM experience with SSD hard drives.

How much RAM is too much (A Waste of Money)?  Example:  Install 8 GB of RAM instead of installing 4 GB of RAM?  The hardware that I am considering is "overkill".  The hardware will support multiple times (at least 10X) the peak bandwidth that is needed.

Does Sophos UTM support ECC RAM?

    I just need to finish deciding on the hardware and place the order.  It may be a few weeks before I make the purchase.

    Last week, I made a move in the right direction.  I purchased an 8 Port Gigabit Switch to which I will route all of my network devices.  I just connected and turned on the new switch.
